Who are we?
Hatch is a technology company building tools that help people navigate critical moments in their careers.
We work with nonprofit employment service providers, workforce organizations, and partners who support job seekers facing real barriers. These teams operate at scale, under pressure, and with high expectations around outcomes, reporting, and trust.
Our platform combines thoughtful product design with specialized AI to make career support more accessible, effective, and measurable. We focus on building systems that are reliable, secure, and practical for real world use, not experimental tools that break under load.
About the product you will work on
You will work across all Hatch products, including resume tools, cover letters, interview preparation, and admin and reporting features used by organizations.
Hatch products are used by individuals and by nonprofit and workforce programs supporting large numbers of job seekers. That means quality issues affect real people, real deadlines, and real outcomes.
Why this role?
The work we do at Hatch sits at the intersection of technology and community impact.
Our platform is used by nonprofit employment service providers and workforce organizations that support people navigating some of the most important transitions in their lives. These teams operate under real pressure. Outcomes matter. Reporting matters. Trust matters.
That means the work we do has consequences beyond feature launches or quarterly targets. When Hatch works well, agencies can spend less time on busywork and more time helping people prepare for meaningful employment. When it does not, real people feel the impact.
At Hatch, every role contributes to that outcome. Whether you are building product, closing partnerships, managing finances, or improving internal systems, your work supports organizations doing high impact work at scale.
We value thoughtful execution, clear ownership, and practical decision making. We build for reliability, transparency, and real world use, not experimentation for its own sake.
If you want your work to matter, to be used, and to hold up under real conditions, this is the kind of environment you will thrive in.
In this role, you will:
Own quality assurance across all Hatch products and features
Test new features before release to ensure they meet functional and usability standards
Identify bugs, edge cases, and regressions across web and platform workflows
Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
Reproduce, document, and prioritize issues clearly for engineering teams
Help define and improve QA processes as the product and team scale
Validate fixes and ensure issues are fully resolved before release
You may be a good fit if:
You have experience testing SaaS or web based products
You have strong attention to detail and enjoy finding edge cases others miss
You can clearly document issues and communicate with engineers and product managers
You are comfortable testing across different features and user flows
You think about quality from a user perspective, not just technical correctness
Experience with test plans, regression testing, or light automation is a plus but not required
What you will get:
๐ A chance to work on products with real social impact that support people navigating critical career moments
๐งฉ Visibility across all Hatch products and how they fit together
๐ค A collaborative, low ego team that values quality, ownership, and clear execution
๐ฐ Competitive compensation with a base salary range of $105,000 to $125,000 CAD, depending on location and experience
๐ก Remote friendly or hybrid friendly work environment with flexibility built in (Vancouver or Waterloo office)
