About the product you will work on
You will work across all Hatch products, including resume tools, cover letters, interview preparation, and admin and reporting features used by organizations.
Hatch products handle sensitive user data and are used by nonprofit employment service providers and workforce programs operating under strict expectations around trust, privacy, and reliability.

In this role, you will:
Design and improve security practices across all Hatch products and infrastructure
Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks in application and cloud environments
Partner with Engineering to embed secure design and development practices
Improve access controls, secrets management, and data protection workflows
Monitor systems for security issues and help respond to incidents when they arise
Support security reviews, audits, and customer security questions as needed
Help establish and document security policies, processes, and controls as the company scales
You may be a good fit if:
You have experience working on security for SaaS or cloud based systems
You understand common application and infrastructure security risks
You are comfortable collaborating with engineers to improve security without blocking delivery
You can explain security tradeoffs clearly to technical and non technical stakeholders
You think about security as a continuous process, not a one time checklist
Experience with cloud security, identity and access management, or compliance frameworks is a strong plus

💰 Competitive compensation with a base salary range of $110,000 to $135,000 CAD, depending on location and experience
